The original was something of a cult classic, telling the story of Bigby Wolf and a murder investigation in Fabletown. Both Adam Harrington and Erin Yvette were set to return as the voices of Bigby Wolf and Snow White respectively. 2023 may be far, but at least we know it’s coming this time. The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 was announced during SDCC 2017 in a Telltale Summer Update, it was originally set to be released in 2018, but then was again delayed until 2019. This was the only TellTale game as well where I was so engrossed that I did a second playthrough right away. We're nearing the end of a long road for The Wolf Among Us 2, which was announced in 2017, delayed in 2018, cancelled the same year after Telltale was effectively shuttered, and 'completely restarted' when a new version of Telltale emerged. The Wolf Among Us was my favourite TellTale game despite being a fan of TWD and Borderlands, and having no idea what Fables was. In classic Wolf Among Us style, they aren't the characters you remember.
However, LCG Entertainment revived Telltale Games and acquired the rights to games like The Wolf Among Us, paving the way for a sequel. The sequel was formally announced in 2017, but Telltale Games closed in 201,8 effectively canceling the project. The release window was revealed in a PlayStation Blog post by Telltale Games Head of Player Engagement Darren. Set six months after the first season, it seems Bigby Wolf is now in some form. The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released sometime in 2023 on PC, PS4, and the Xbox One. The trailer gives us a sense of the game's heavily stylized visuals, synth score, and introduces us to new characters, including Tin Man and Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. The Wolf Among Us 2 is a sequel to 2013's narrative-adventure game by Telltale Games. Telltale Games & AdHoc Studios have given us a fresh look and details on The Wolf Among Us 2, as previously promised.
Snow White will now be deputy mayor of the game's Fabletown setting. The game, set 6 months after the first, will see anti-hero Bigby Wolf suspended and in anger management counseling. The stream today also included a first gameplay trailer and new story details. Yesterday, Telltale officially revealed The Wolf Among Us 2 in a livestream, where we got to see a trailer for the game.
